Perryman's Buses brand reaches the end of the road

The change came into effect on Monday, although it will be some months before the whole fleet of Perryman’s Buses is rebranded in Borders Buses red and cream livery.

The merger of Borders Buses and Perryman’s Buses will expand the former’s operating network to include the Scottish Borders, Cumbria, Northumberland, East Lothian, Midlothian and the City of Edinburgh.

To coincide with the name change, the bus company will introduce 10 Journey tickets to its network ticket range, with four weekly and annual tickets expected to be added to the ticket options when the bus company launches its mobile app in September.

Customers will also benefit from transferable tickets on common lines of routes.

This will include service X95 and 73 (between Galashiels and Selkirk only), service X62 and 60/67/68 (between Galashiels and Melrose only), service 71 and 60/67/68 (between Galashiels and Melrose only). Service 61 and 60 (between Galashiels and Earlston only) and service 67 and 60/67/68 (between Galashiels and Earlston/St Boswells only and Galashiels and Leaderfoot).

There will be no immediate change to current timetables.
