Hide AdClive Gibson, chair of Alnwick District Food Bank, thanked them for such a magnificent effort.
He said: “I promise that the money raised will be put to good use. Whilst demand has eased in recent weeks, it is still well above pre-Covid levels and, like many organisations, we
are anxious as to what the future holds.
"The support of our local community, as evidenced here, has been outstanding and gives us confidence that we have the resources to meet demand, should it increase again. We fear this is likely as furlough and other government support eases.”
