LNER has announced some of its trains are terminating at Newcastle, whilst people at Morpeth Railway Station are reporting being stuck on social media.
Although the lines are now clear, major disruption is expected until 7pm.
LNER has tweeted the following: ‘The vulnerable person at #Morpeth has been brought to safety and all lines have re-opened. Services will remain subject to disruption across our route until further notice.’
