The Northumberland Farmer Network recently organised a successful evening with renowned farming celebrity Cammy Wilson.

He created the Sheep Game YouTube channel five years ago and currently has more than 380,000 followers. He posts regular videos from the farm, as well as operating a sheep clipping and sheep pregnancy scanning service.

A full house of farmers and their families from throughout Northumberland and Cumbria gathered at the Hexham Tynedale Suite for a memorable night.

The event was skilfully hosted by The Farmer Network managing director Adam Day, who channelled his inner Michael Parkinson for the evening.

A steady flow of questions and incredible stories from Cammy led to hearty laughter and lifted spirits across the room as his humorous, engaging and very honest storytelling provided some uplifting entertainment.

As the evening drew to a close, he stayed to chat with the farmers – offering numerous photos with them and taking great care to speak to every young person in the room.

His generosity with his time and attention was greatly appreciated by all.

Speaking after the event, Adam said: “This event has been a fantastic opportunity for our Northumberland farmers to come together, relax, and enjoy a social occasion.

Farming can be an incredibly tough and demanding job, and seeing everyone laughing and enjoying themselves tonight makes our work at The Farmer Network incredibly worthwhile.”

The Farmer Network extends thanks to its sponsors, Scrimger & Oakes and youngsRPS, whose contributions helped make the event possible. More details on The Northumberland Farmer Network Facebook page.
