The event was organised by Roy and Judith Hardisty.
Judith said: “Everyone said they enjoyed themselves. We had games and a sing-a-long and the whole street stood up in respect of the war veterans.”
Rain stopped play in late afternoon but not before the all important toast to the heroes of the Second World War was observed at 3pm.
