Gallowhill Hall, near Morpeth, is thought to have been originally constructed in 1888 by Charles Perkins JP for Lord Decies and was subsequently sold to High Sheriff of Northumberland Captain Frank Buddle Atkinson.
The house has since been used as a hospital and as a residential school over the years and was restored around the turn of the century by Whitelam Homes.
Now one five-bedroom wing is on the market with Sanderson Young’s Gosforth office with a guide price of £1,3750,000.
