Susan Carr’s snowy scene of Wooler High Street was selected in the ‘People at Work, Rest and Play’ category, with Linda Perkins’ shot of sheep on Easter Tor chosen in the ‘Landscape of Glendale’ section.

The aim of the competition was to capture beautiful photographs that show off the personality and people of Glendale, its strength of community and beautiful setting.

Eileen Ferguson from Ad Gefrin said: “We saw such a tremendous range of entries and were delighted with the quality of images we received so it really was quite a challenge to narrow them down. We found it so encouraging to see that people really do have an eye for what makes Glendale great and so very special.

“We hope that we will receive lots of support from people in choosing the overall winner of this, our first photography competition.”

Voting will close on January 27 at 5pm with the overall winner to be announced on 1st February 1.
