Pensioner who died in Northumberland crash named by police
David Henderson, of Blyth, died at the scene of the crash near Weldon Bridge on the A697 at 11am on Saturday, September 5.
Emergency services were called to the collision south of Longframlington which involved a blue Ford C Max and a silver Renault Clio.

Hide AdMr Henderson, who was the driver of the Clio, was pronounced dead by emergency workers at the scene.
His family are currently being supported by specialist officers and have asked their privacy is respected at this time.
The 60-year-old male driver of the Ford sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital following the collision.
An investigation into the incident was immediately launched with officers asking for witnesses and motorists with dashcam footage to come forward.

Hide AdSergeant Matt Sykes of Northumbria Police Motor Patrols team, said: “This was a tragic collision which has taken a man’s life and injured another.
"Our thoughts are with David’s family at this incredibly difficult time.
“Our investigation is ongoing and we are trying to establish a picture of the events leading up to the collision.
We are still asking for witnesses, anyone with dashcam footage or information about the incident to come forward and speak with us.”
