Opportunity to vote for Edith and her partner at event
Edith Maina-Flinders, from Morpeth, and her dance partner Oliver Dudman, from Newcastle, have been invited to compete in a top competition called Battle Of The Ballroom this weekend.
The nine-year-old latin and ballroom dancers have been dancing together for 18 months.
They train together four evenings a week and compete nationwide over at least two weekends a month.
Despite their age, Edith and Oliver compete in the juvenile dance section (under 12s).
They are taught by Lisa Fiddes-Dobson at her dance school in Cramlington and Lee Dudman at The Dudman Academy of Performing Arts in Fenham, Newcastle.
Oliver and Edith won the UK Under 10 Ballroom and Latin Championships when they were just eight-years-old in July this year.
Battle Of The Ballroom will take place in Bournemouth on Sunday. It is due to start at 1pm.
This will be live streamed online for all to watch and vote for Oliver and Edith.

Edith’s mother Niamh said: “This is a huge achievement for two North East children and we would love for the region, including the Morpeth community, to get behind two upcoming ballroom stars by voting for them on Sunday.
