A fitness instructor and personal trainer has “no regrets” at launching her own business during lockdown.

Lydia Cowan, 34, of Amble, launched 1st Fit Fitness last year after working for fitness clubs and gyms across the North East for more than a decade.

She offers a range of online classes for people to either join in live from the comfort of their home or to watch recordings of later.

Lydia said: “We have something for everyone from beginners to advanced sessions.

Northumberland fitness instructor Lydia Cowan has launched a series of online classes.

“Exercise, particularly at this time with the pandemic, is so good for your mental health and the beauty of my classes is that you don’t have to leave the safety of your home.”

Classes include abs and body conditioning, kettlebells and resistance bands.

Lydia added: “Being a single mother with a five-year-old daughter, it was a hard decision to make. But it has proved to be the right decision and there has been a lot of interest.”
