Charlotte Boulter, who runs Company B, has had to close her cafe but is keeping busier than ever serving the local community.
She is delivering ready meals to homes within a 10 mile radius or to be picked up – a situation mirrored by many cafes and restaurants across Northumberland at the moment.

Charlotte said: “I’m not able to open the cafe at the moment so I’m trying to keep the community going by providing hot and cold meals, newspaper deliveries and helping out the elderly who used to come into the cafe. They’re obviously not able to get out and about so I’m taking orders for them.”
Charlotte, who moved to Longhoughton from London two years ago, said: “I love this village and want to do anything I can for it.
“I’ve had an amazing response from the community. There have been so many lovely messages on Facebook and phone calls.”

“I’ve been selling out daily so it’s been hard trying to keep up with demand,” said Charlotte.
“I don’t mind that though,” she added. “I just want to keep everyone in their homes and by doing that help to save lives.”
On Mother’s Day, she even delivered 50 chocolate oranges to mums that deserved a treat.
