Its Just Giving appeal has a £1,000 target.
Colin Hardy, who joined the Northumberland group after losing his sister Pauline to MND, said: “People with MND are extremely vulnerable and are relying on our help and support now more than ever.”
Around 70 people are living with MND in Northumberland.
MND is a fatal, rapidly progressing disease which affects the brain and spinal cord. There is no cure.
