North East property developer calls on budding builders to make their own mini-home

Budding builders are being encouraged to come up with some grand designs of their own during the coronavirus enforced lockdown.

Corbridge-based LRD Associates has launched a competition asking children across the North East to build their own mini-house.

The best will win £100 worth of vouchers for local independent toy store, Mr Wolf.

LRD Associates director, Lucie Armstrong, said: “We’re taking a break from building houses so we would like you to help. Can you build us a house?“We would like to run a little competition to help keep the kids busy.”

She suggests making the house from things around the home, such as cardboard, sticks, toilet rolls, boxes, pasta, sofa cushions, blankets and Lego.It must have four walls and a roof and can be any size.
