Warrant Officer David Barr, who joined the RAF in 1989 as a mechanic, was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal, given to a select few personnel each year with outstanding good conduct throughout their career.
Flight Sergeant John Mortimer received the Air Officer Commanding 2 Group Commendation for his exemplary work as Acting Warrant Officer during a period of major infrastructure change. He was instrumental in enabling the transition to working from home at the outset of the pandemic.
Flight Sergeant Mark Leonard received the same honour for his role as Acting Warrant Officer personnel management squadron and deputy chairman of the Covid-19 working group.
