Rothbury F.C. Chair, Dan Herron: ‘We’re all bored and missing football desperately. We won the Northern Alliance Division 2 League last year (Rothbury’s highest honour to date). There is always talk about the current team’s players vs players of old. We won the North N’land League in 09/10 and had some great players in the past 50 years too. Dan & Jon Tait created a poll of opinions on Rothbury’s best players. They set out a team, with several nominees for each position (7/8 per place). Votes took place each day. Dan: ‘We’re sure there’ll be disagreement, no doubt great players are missed out! Next, we’re going to do a full team write up describing the traits of the players selected” Read the blog: https://thenorthernassociation.blogspot.com/2020/04/best-xi-reflection.html
