Long service awards for Belford firefighters

Two Belford firefighters have been presented with long service awards by the Fire Brigades Union.

Watch manager Michael Tully (left) becomes the first member of the Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service to receive a 40 years badge and Certificate of Achievement, whilst crew manager Steven Owens (right) received a badge and certificate for 25 years’ service.

The awards were presented on Thursday by Andy Noble, the vice president of the Fire Brigades Union, who travelled to Belford for the ceremony.
