Local lads take the honours at annual quiz night for Glendale Agricultural Society

Glendale Agricultural Society’s annual quiz night at the Tankerville Arms Hotel in Wooler raised a fantastic £350.

Sixteen teams took part with the winning team, ‘Help Where’s Dave?’, made up of Kevan Curry, David Farr, Paul Taylor and Neil Tait. Together, they won a day for four at the races, kindly donated by Kelso Races.

Rachael Tait, secretary of the Glendale Agricultural Society, said: “Like every year, the quiz night was an entertaining and brain-teasing evening, and the local food and drink round certainly caused some head scratching!

“Of course, thanks must go to our excellent quiz master, Ronald Barber and to the many members who attended the event. From the night, we have raised over £350 for the society, which I am absolutely thrilled about.”

Glendale Agricultural Society’s next fund-raiser is a coffee morning at the Glendale Hall, Cheviot Street, Wooler on Saturday, April 11 from 10am.
