Jolly jumpers provide festive boost to hospice funds

Around £300 has been raised for HospiceCare North Northumberland by local businesses who took part in its Jolly Jumper Christmas campaign.

Participants included Mind and Sole Alnwick, Northumberland Estates, Trimmers, Starbucks, EE, The Cookie Jar and Willowburn Sports centre.

Emma Arthur, events and community fund-raiser, said: “We wish to thank everyone who took part in our first Jolly Jumper day.

“We asked our supporters and local business to join us for Jolly Jumper day in work places and our local community. Jumpers were in many colours and varieties and was a great way to start off the Christmas celebrations.

“By getting Christmassy for HospiceCare, everyone has helped to provide much needed hospice at home support to patients all over north Northumberland during the festive period.

“Around £300 was raised from this campaign and will go towards supporting people with life limiting conditions and helping them to live their fullest lives for as long as possible.”
