How to apply for the Bradley Lowery Foundation's first dedicated charity run
Calling all runners – the time has come to sign up for a new challenge for 2020.
The Bradley Lowery Foundation, set up as a legacy to six-year-old Bradley Lowery, from Blackhall, is hosting its first-ever dedicated charity run this spring.
Run for Brad will take place at Herrington Country Park on Sunday, March 29 – and registration for the multi-terrain race is open now.
Established in the wake of Bradley’s death in July 2017, the Foundation raises money and awareness for poorly children, who are facing a range of different challenges, and their families.
In a post on social media over the weekend, the Foundation urged people to sign up quickly to avoid missing out on a place.
The message, posted on Sunday, January 19, on Twitter said: “The Bradley Lowery Foundation has officially launched the first Run for Brad.
“We have one mile, 5k and 10k spaces. Spaces are filling fast, so you need to be quick as there are only 2,000 spaces available."
Registration has now launched online via the Foundation’s website, with entry costing £25.
The 10k course is for over-16s only, while the 5k is for those aged eight and over.
