Both volunteer roles would be suited to team players who have local maritime knowledge, good communication and leadership skills, experience of people management, strong organisational and time management skills, while potential recruits would need to live or work within five miles of the station.
Ben Mitchell, RNLI area lifesaving manager, explained: ‘We have two exciting opportunities for people to join our team at Seahouses RNLI.
"Both volunteer roles would involve leading and bolstering the existing team and managing the operations of the Shannon class and D class lifeboats.

“Around 95 percent of RNLI people are volunteers and find the experience an extremely rewarding one. It’s a great way to make new friends while helping to save lives at sea.”
