The new building on 2-4 Woodhorn Road had stood vacant for two years but has been leased for three years.

The business has been going from strength to strength and from its current base in North Shields selling everything from sofas, bedroom furniture, beds, and dining room tables.

Coun Richard Wearmouth, Chair of Advance Northumberland and cabinet member for economic development at Northumberland County Council, said: “It’s great to see such a prominent high street building that has not been used for some time brought back into use.

"This new retail offer will add to the shopping opportunities that are already available on our high street and elsewhere in the town, all saving people time and money.”
