Funding boost for Bailiffgate Museum and Gallery in Alnwick

Bailiffgate Museum and Gallery in Alnwick has been awarded funding to help prepare for reopening.

It has received a grant from Arts Council England and funds from the government, administered by Northumberland County Council.

It has enabled the venue to set up consultancy roles to support their volunteer team and to provide support during lockdown.

Louise Dawson will be the operations and programme manager taking on the new role of overseeing the effective operational management.

She will be working closely with volunteers to ensure all aspects of Bailiffgate’s mission and strategic objectives are achieved.

Katherine Williams will be supporting Bailiffgate to develop a new strategy for engaging and supporting volunteers.

Jean Humphrys, chair of trustees, said: “We are delighted to be working with two locally based consultants to take us forward towards our 20th anniversary and build up our volunteer team.”
