Cramlington children spreading Christmas cheer

Children at a Cramlington school have been spreading Christmas kindness to youngsters around the world.

Pupils and families from Cragside C of E Primary School have been taking part in Operation Christmas Child for those in Eastern Europe, Africa, Central Asia and the Middle East.

They packed shoe boxes with gifts including books, pens, toothbrushes, socks and toys.

Paul Rusby, Headteacher, said: "We have been overwhelmed with the generosity and kindness from our children and families this year.

"We are truly grateful for all their support for this worthy cause.

"Knowing that we are able to shine some happiness and joy this Christmas to children is so important to us.”
