Clap for Carers: North East supports the NHS, carers and key workers for the fifth week running

For the fifth week running the North East came together to honour our NHS, key workers and carers during the coronavirus pandemic.

Friday, 24th April 2020, 12:50 pm

As has become tradition, at 8pm on Thursday evening, people across the UK took to their doorsteps, back gardens and windows to applaud those on the frontline.

As you put your hands together, many of you got in touch by commenting on our North East titles on Facebook and Twitter to share your own touching messages.
