As the second coronavirus lockdown continues in England, the Gazette has launched a search for the heroes in and around Northumberland who are helping you get through the tough times.

We are looking for the Lockdown Heroes in your life – from essential workers to supportive friends and kindly neighbours.

Has someone in your household been working tirelessly through the pandemic? Do you know someone going above and beyond to help those in their community?

If so, we want to hear all about them and what they do!

We want to meet Northumberland's Lockdown Heroes.

Message the Gazette on Facebook, or leave a post in the comments section of this article on our Facebook page, to introduce us to the inspirational people making a difference to others during difficulty.

Don’t forget to include the person’s name, a picture and a summary of what they do. They could then be included in a round-up of Northumberland’s Lockdown Heroes.

The dramatic events of 2020 are having a major impact on many of our local valued advertisers and consequently the advertising that we receive.

We are now more reliant than ever on you helping us to provide you with news by buying a copy of our newspaper.

If you can, please do pick up a copy when you are at the shops.

Thank you for your support.
