Burns Night celebration raises nearly £10,000 for Age UK Northumberland

Age UK Northumberland will be able to support even more older people this year, thanks to funds raised at a Burns Night celebration at Newton Hall.

The event raised almost £10,000 thanks to generous sponsorship by financial services company, Sage Wealth Management and the kind support of Newton Hall and other local businesses.

Amy Whyte, from Age UK Northumberland, said: “It was a terrific evening, but there was a very important purpose behind the event – to raise awareness and vital funds to support older people living in the county who are isolated, lonely and need our help.”

Michael Sage from Sage Wealth Management said: “It was our great pleasure to support this valuable event and help Age UK Northumberland to raise funds in support of their services.”
