Amble RNLI called out to rescue two people struggling on a paddleboard

An Amble RNLI crew on its inshore lifeboat (ILB) was called out last Friday to help two people struggling on a paddleboard south of Coquet Island due to strengthening offshore winds.

As detailed on the lifeboat station’s Facebook page: “While underway the paddleboarders were spotted near the south tip of the island.
