Aln Valley Railway supporter leaves £20,000 bequest to charity
Aln Valley Railway has received a £20,000 bequest in memory of Gordon Simpson.
The generous funding will be ring-fenced to support the development of a museum at Lionheart Station.
Trustee Mark Hayton said: “As a charity, we are extremely grateful for legacies such as this generous bequest, which enable us to take forward our work and to invest in capital projects, which in themselves are a lasting memorial. We will think of Gordon, and his generosity, through the creation of our new museum in his memory.”
