Police are appealing for witnesses after a pensioner’s purse was stolen in a Northumberland town.

On Friday, June 26, between 11.34am and 12.28pm, an 82-year-old woman had withdrawn cash from an ATM machine and was walking along Bondgate Within, Alnwick, when she realised her purse had been stolen from her handbag. The offender made off without being seen.

Police are carrying out inquiries in the area and are appealing for witnesses.
