Fancy becoming a councillor? Wooler Parish Council has a vacancy.

Anyone interested in the co-opted vacancy is invited along to a public meeting on Monday, June 25, at 7pm in the Cheviot Centre, Wooler, to see how the parish council operates.

The council meets once a month. There are committees to deal with resources and play parks and some councillors may be required to attend other meetings, representing the council on outside bodies or helping develop a new community project.

The closing date for the written submission of interest is Friday, July 13.

Parish councillors will consider submissions and interview applicants immediately after the parish meeting held on Monday, July 23, at 7pm.

Expressions of interest can be emailed to the parish clerk at woolerparishcouncil@yahoo.co.uk
