Panamanian guests at Alnwick primary school

Staff and students at St Michael's RC Primary School, Alnwick, were recently joined by a group of Panamanian students who are currently studying at Edinburgh College for four months to improve their English.

Headeteacher Gavin Johnston said: “The students, who hope to become teachers in Panama, spent time in classes and were fascinated at the different education systems in Panama and the UK.

“It is a great opportunity for our children to speak to and interact with people from a different part of the world.”
