Two people have been rescued after their yacht capsized off the Northumberland coast.

Humber Coastguard received a distress call from the vessel at 10.21am.

It capsized between Beadnell Bay and Newton Point.

A local fishing vessel responded and pulled both people from the water.

They were transferred to Seahouses lifeboat and taken to Seahouses harbour where they were met by local coastguard officers.
