THESE plucky youngsters put their best foot forward during a sponsored walk.
The event helped to raise more than £1,000 for their school.
The army of pupils from Amble First School, Edwin Street, were joined by staff and parents for the trek.
It came as part of the school’s Amazing Amble topic – an exploration and celebration of all that the town has to offer.
The sponsored walk allowed the youngsters to look at the different facilities and attractions in the area.
All 121 children took part this year, from the Reception class, who walked a mile around the town centre, to those in Years 3 and 4, who managed four miles around Amble and along The Braid to Warkworth and back.
And their efforts paid off, raising a total of £1,017.40.
The money is to be used to buy furniture and books to create a library area in the school.
