Organisers raise a glass to successful beer festival

Organisers of the Alnwick Masonic Beer Festival are toasting a job well done after the event raised £3,000.

The festival, staged at the town’s Masonic Lodge on Saturday, was in aid of the Stephen Carey Fund, Alnwick Stroke Association and the Northumberland Masonic Charities Association. The principal sponsor of the event was The Greys Inn, Embleton.

The festival featured a range of locally-sourced drink and a guest beer was supplied by The Tanners Arms, Alnwick.

Others to sponsor the event were Rooftops B&B; The Fleece Inn; Morrisons; Bell & Sons; Greycroft Guest House, Northumbria Pets, George Skipper Photography, The Black Swan and numerous Masonic Lodges in Northumberland, as well as a number of individuals.
