EXHIBITION: Sure to be a summer hit

The 100 Years of Fashion event at the Bailiffgate Museum and Gallery in Alnwick is a brilliant exhibition.

It is wonderful to be able see the work of iconic, international designers in such close proximity.

The stitching and skill of the dressmaking is exquisite.

The display, though not large, is compact and very accessible, with so many variations on Coco Chanel’s ‘little black dress’.

The Stella Tennant collection, with fascinating accessories, is a real coup for the Bailiffgate.

The museum volunteers have produced an excellent exhibition, which celebrates a century of design.

There is also an entertaining ‘dressing up’ corner, which I am sure will contribute to a successful summer season.
