Support that I’ve always considered a partnership in that one couldn’t exist without the other – a feeling shared by all the team at the hospice and something we never take for granted.

A perfect example of our strong community partnership was highlighted last year at the start of the first lockdown when we were forced to close our shops and cancel our fundraising events.

In April we reached out to our communities for financial help with our first-ever appeal.

What happened next completely blew us away.

Our communities rallied like never before, coming up with novel ways to help raise funds which has resulted in a community fundraising income more than triple previous years – how amazing is that?

We also are fortunate to enjoy many local business partnerships - businesses that continue to support us in various ways from giving direct donations, sponsoring our events and donating their professional expertise.

One such local business is Blackshaw’s, one of our longest established partners.
