Old school days recalled

This picture brought back memories for one reader who used to work at Mrs Mountain's School in Alnmouth. Hilda Blyth was co-headteacher with Jane Wood at the school at the time.

She contacted us to say that the readathon was in aid of a cancer charity. She named the pupils as Laura Leddy, Ben Ord, George Percy, Tim Wood, Catherine Smith, Clare Metcalf, Polly Ord, Rachael Dotchin, Joe Leddy, Matthew Teasdale, Rachael, Katie Holland.

The school was in what is now the Old School Gallery and Cafe in Alnmouth.
