As previously reported by the Gazette, Mezze has taken over the premises formerly occupied by Indian restaurant Varanda on Clayport Street, opening for business last week.

Former Mayor of Alnwick, Coun Alan Symmonds, was on hand to do the honours and there was also a special guest in the form of a belly dancer.
