Northumberland wedding venues are the best in Britain
Two Northumberland wedding venues have been named the UK's best.
Le Petit Chateau, at Otterburn, and Newton Hall, at Newton-by-the-Sea, both won top spots in the UK Wedding Awards 2017.
Le Petit Chateau was named the UK’s Best Country Venue and Newton Hall Best Coastal Venue. Both are owned by the Apartment Group.
The UK Wedding Awards – hosted by Immediate Media’s wedding network brands hitched, Perfect Wedding and You & Your Wedding – celebrate all aspects of the wedding industry, from venues to dresses, and jewellery to honeymoons.
A panel of industry experts drew up a shortlist from hundreds of entries and the public was asked to vote for their favourites. The winners received more than 83,000 votes.
Zoe Jobson, Immediate Media weddings publisher, said: “We are delighted at the level of engagement The UK Weddings Awards have generated – both inside the wedding industry with an incredible level of entries and among brides and bridal-party members who voted in staggering numbers.
“Our aim was to celebrate and showcase the excellent companies and individuals who make the wedding experience such a memorable one for thousands of UK couples – and we’re thrilled to recognise their commitment, creativity and exemplary service as we announce the winners list.”

In the awards, it was up against Cley Windmill; Salcombe Harbour Hotel and Spa; Hilton Brighton Metropole; The Kings Arms; East Quay Venue; Polhawn Fort; and Clevedon Hall.
