Multi-award-winning Woodhill Hall, a 300-year-old Georgian manor house in Otterburn, was crowned Most Romantic Wedding Venue in the North East at The English Wedding Awards 2016 on Monday.

The family-run wedding venue is set on a private estate with 100 acres of woodland and it promises a wedding day with a difference, giving couples a fully exclusive site for the weekend, including the use of all 16 individually-styled bedrooms.

The awards, held at the Mercure Manchester Piccadilly, recognise talented individuals and businesses dedicated to constantly delivering high-quality weddings.

This year, thousands of nominations were cast across England with the public voting for their favourites to be crowned the best in the wedding industry.

Corrinne Knight, owner of Woodhill Hall, said: “We’re thrilled to be named as Most Romantic Wedding Venue in the North East at the English Wedding Awards 2016.

“We receive such wonderful feedback and comments on how romantic and different our venue is, so to be recognised on this scale is a real honour.”
