North East Livestock Sales sold 87 store cattle and 148 ewes with lambs. There was a large company of buyers in attendance, with all classes of stock an excellent trade.
Sheep: The dispersal of ewes and late born lambs from the late Norman Williamson topped, with warranted Texels and twins realising £158 (two), £149, £146 (two), singles bidding to £129, £128. Cheviots and twins £141, £140 St Margarets. Suffolks (w) and twins £169, £160 Doxford. Suffolks (UO) and twins £144 Doxford. Suffolks and singles £136 Doxford. Texel rams £150 (two), £140 St Margarets.
