Harrison and Hetherington held its weekly Primestock sale of sheep. Sold 871 lambs and 393 ewes and rams.

Lambs slightly more numerous, with trade taking another lift on the week. Larger numbers could easily be handled.

Lambs per head: Texel: £89.50 South Ditchburn, £85, £82.50 Kettleburn, £82, £81 Holy Island, £80 Ladykirk, £78.50 (two) West Longridge and Edlingham Demesne, £78 Lorbottle, Mindrum Farming Co, Moorlaws and Fawdon Farms. Suffolk: £85 Murton Whitehouse, £83 Holy Island. Romney: £80 Duddo. Mule: £73 Fawdon Farms. Cheviot: £72 Holy Island.

Lambs per kg: Texel: 200p, 196p Edlingham Demesne, 195p Fawdon Farms, 193.7p, 191.1p, 189p, 188p, 185p Ladykirk, 190p Lorbottle, 187p Yetlington Lane, 186.1p Cockhall, 185p Mindrum Farming Co, Ladykirk and Lilburn Estates, 183.3p Kettleburn, 180p Lilburn Estates. Suffolk: 176.2p, 175p, 172.8p, 172.4p Lilburn Estates, 174p Fawdon Farms.

Many lean ewes on offer, but trade remained similar.
