Staff at a leading Northumberland holiday destination have won a national tourism award.
The award was given to Kielder Lodges by domestic holiday giant Hoseasons.
Members of Kielder’s Go Active Breaks team, including Johnny Lodge, Adam Piggford and Aaron Little, picked up the Go Active Team of the Year prize during an awards ceremony at Hoseasons’ annual Go Active Conference, in Somerset, on January 7.
The award, given in recognition of the team’s perfect 100 per cent score during its most recent performance assessment, was presented during an evening celebrating the very best of Hoseasons’ Go Active holiday destinations across the UK.
Customer experience manager Peter Pattinson said: “Everyone at Kielder Lodges is extremely proud of this award. We all work very hard to make sure our customers have the best holiday experience they can, so it’s great to be recognised for our efforts.”
Go Active breaks are perfect for families who want to try their hand at a huge range of indoor and outdoor activities at 15 countryside lodge locations across the UK. Activities at Kielder include archery, crossbow, fencing, snorkelling and seascooters, as well as bike hire and lake cruises.
The latest award comes less than two months after Kielder Lodges was crowned Best Relax and Explore destination in the North of England at Hoseasons’ ninth annual Gala Awards evening – a ceremony showcasing the very best of the firm’s Lodges and Holiday Parks across the UK.
“Members of this team truly embody the dedication and enthusiasm we expect from all our staff,” said Mark Warnes, product director at Hoseasons.
“Every one of them works tirelessly to make sure our guests get the most from their holiday and they fully deserve this award.”
