Golden Sands, at Cresswell, is marking the milestone with a special party on Sunday, July 31.

Visitors will be able to enjoy rides, zorbs, a table-top sale, food, music – and even meet a family of gorillas that is visiting Northumberland especially for the event, which runs from noon to 5pm. There will be special offers too for people interested in buying a holiday home at the park.

The day before, the park will host two runs, in aid of St Oswald’s Hospice. Participants can sign up to do either three or five miles. Fancy-dress fund-raisers are welcome and this year’s theme is silver, to tie in with the 25th anniversary celebrations. Prizes will be handed out for the best costumes.

The fun run begins at 11am and runners can register from 9am at the park’s reception in Beach Road, Cresswell.
