Members of Kielder Lodge’s Go Active Breaks team at Leaplish Waterside Park picked up the prize during an awards ceremony at Hoseasons’ annual conference, at the park in Kielder Water and Forest Park.

They won the Go Active Breaks Team of the Year award, given in recognition of the team’s high score during its most recent performance assessment and was presented during an evening celebrating the best of Hoseasons’ holiday destinations across the UK.

Commenting on the award, David Hall, head of leisure, strategy and transformation at Northumbrian Water, the owner of Kielder Lodges, said: “We were very proud to win this award last year, but to win it again is incredible. We all work very hard to make sure our customers have a great holiday, so it’s fantastic to be recognised for our efforts.”

The latest award comes a month after Kielder Lodges was crowned Best Relax and Explore destination in the north of England at Hoseasons’ tenth annual UK Gala Awards evening.

“The standards set by this team are truly exceptional. Every member of the team is fully dedicated to making sure our guests have a great holiday and that’s why they deserve this award,” said Mark Warnes, property and portfolio director at Hoseasons.

Go Active Breaks are perfect for families who want to try their hand at a huge range of indoor and outdoor activities at 16 countryside lodge locations across the UK. Activities at Kielder Lodges include archery, crossbow, fencing, snorkelling and seascooters, as well as bike hire and lake cruises.

Kielder Lodges’ latest award was presented on the same day that its new-look reception area was officially opened by Geoff Cowley, MD of Wyndham Vacation Rentals UK – the parent company of Hoseasons. Mr Cowley unveiled a plaque to commemorate the opening of the fully-refurbished facility, which has seen owner Northumbrian Water convert what was once offices and a shop into a more welcoming reception for guests.
