Northumberland couple complete fund-raising walk along Hadrian's Wall

Dave and Brenda Milne trekked 84 miles along Hadrian’s Wall to raise money for charity.

They raised over £800 for Bell View (Belford), which provides services and activities for older people, and HospiceCare North Northumberland, which offers care and support to people living with life-limiting illnesses.

Brenda said: “We were exhausted at the end, having to put up our sore feet for a few days afterwards, however we both know that the monies we raised will make a huge difference.”

“Volunteering for both organisations I’ve seen first-hand the valuable work both charities carry out across Northumberland.”

They would like to thank all sponsors who helped them raise the fantastic sum, which was split equally between both charities.

Bell View centre operations manager Paul Harrison said “We were thrilled when we heard that Dave and Brenda wanted to raise funds for both charities, we can’t thank them enough!”
