Conservative councillors Glen Sanderson and Trevor Thorne will continue to serve on the county council after winning their respective seats.
Glen Sanderson will serve the Longhorsley ward after scooping a big win, securing 994 votes.
There was significant light between him and the other candidates fighting it out for the seat.
UKIP’s David Cox (152 votes), Labour’s Otis Gilbert (127 votes) and Lib Dem Charles Jevon (101 votes) all missed out.
Meanwhile, Trevor Thorne held on to his Shilbottle seat, with 765 votes.
It was a fairly close affair, with Labour’s Brenda Trobe securing 476 votes and John Curry, of UKIP, taking 342 votes.
Gregah Roughead (Lib Dem) got 102 votes.
The percentage turnout for Longhorsley was 42.7 per cent while Shilbottle’s was 41.9 per cent.
