Northumberland bridge reopens to traffic
A bridge in north Northumberland has reopened after having been closed as a precautionary measure due to rising river levels.
On Thursday, Northumberland County Council closed Pauperhaugh Bridge on the C168, near Rothbury, as a precautionary measure due to increased river flow under the bridge, which is subject to ongoing repair work.
Council engineers reviewed the situation again on Friday and decided the bridge should remain closed over the weekend.
