The North Sunderland B&B, owned by Jeff and Jill Sutheran, is shortlisted in the guest accommodation and sustainable tourism categories. The glittering awards ceremony takes place on Tuesday, March 8, in Blackpool’s Winter Gardens.

Jill said: “It’s a real honour for us to be selected as a finalist for these national awards. There are some fantastic tourism businesses from around the whole country in the mix, and to be named among the top five in two categories is just wonderful. It’s good for our business of course, but we’re also pleased to be flying the flag for the Northumberland coast as a wonderful place to visit.”

Jeff added: “We want our visitors to have a wonderful experience of this amazing area, of course, but we’re also passionate that their every visit should make our rural community a better place to live and work for local people, too. We’re delighted that our determination to provide an unforgettable guest experience which also builds our local economy, has brought us to be considered amongst the best in the whole country.”
