Nominate your Tourism Superstar

Nominations are now open to find England’s greatest Local Tourism Superstar, from tour guides and ice-cream vendors, to cabbies and hotel receptionists.

As part of the VisitEngland contest, Northumberland Tourism is encouraging entries for the county. Only one nomination can be put forward from Northumberland for the national prize.

To help the selection process, people are asked to include a paragraph about why their Tourism Superstar should represent Northumberland.

To submit your entry, send an email to [email protected] by Friday, November 18.

The ideal candidate is someone who makes a difference to the area and really makes visitors’ experiences special.

The person the judges will be looking for goes above and beyond the call of duty and acts as a real ambassador for the local area.

Their customer service is outstanding and they are a real asset to their team and Northumberland.

A spokeswoman for Northumberland Tourism said: “Alex MacLennan, from the Forestry Commission, was shortlisted for Northumberland last year, and got both Kielder and Northumberland some fantastic national coverage, as well as the recognition he deserves. So don’t hesitate, nominate someone today.”
